Salem County Career and Technical High School is a comprehensive high school designed to provide career and technical education programs that prepare students for employment, higher education leading to employment, and lifelong learning. A variety of academic and related programs support career and technical education. The Salem County Vocational Technical School District’s Adult Education Department also offers career-focused and other educational programs specifically for post-secondary and adult learners.

For Adults

Salem County Vocational Technical School District’s Adult Education Department provides students with the core academic knowledge, hands-on practical experience, and career readiness skills needed to enter a successful career. Students can choose from among a range of career-focused programs, including access to pre-apprenticeship, work-based learning, and on-the-job training opportunities. The district’s Adult Education Department also offers adult learners the High School Equivalency (HSE/GED) test and adult basic education and ESL/Civics courses.

Taking full advantage of opportunities to earn college credits while in high school, 251 students from across New Jersey’s county vocational-technical schools graduated with an associate degree this year in addition to a high school diploma.

As a child, Lavar Scott knew he wanted to be a race car driver. He had early exposure to the career with both his mother and brother in racing. Now, his childhood dreams are coming true.Scott, of Carneys Point, is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series for Rev Racing.
